Product DescriptionMy FoodLosophy. Part One: A Starting Point. This is NOT a diet. This is a story. MY story about food! In it, you’ll learn what I know. You’ll learn what I’ve done...mistakes I’ve made and changes that have happened over the last 17 years in my own life of health and fitness. It took me a long time to figure out how to help people with nutrition in a way that I thought would be...helpful. This is very, “teach a man (or woman) to fish.” Not just GIVING a man or woman a fish. I don’t want to give you a diet to follow; I don’t believe in that. That’s not a long term solution. What IS a long term solution is creating the right mindset and behaviors when it comes to your health and fitness. I’m glad I waited so long to deliver something to you. I believe this can help you. I hope you enjoy it. I hope it helps.
What ya get:
BOTH the written paper version as a .pdf AND the audiobook MP3 narrated by Derek himself.
After you purchase the e-book, you’ll be sent a link via e-mail to download your files. You get a plain paper .pdf to print out or read on your phone/tablet/computer (if that’s what you’re in to) and the audio MP3. Be sure to download the files, then check your download folder on your phone (you may need to search "download folder" in the search menus to find it). Each phone is a little different as to how it plays the MP3s (iPhone will play it right from the download folder).
Great read/listen! Definitely got me thinking about how I eat
It’s not a diet or a mapped out secret to success. It’s Derek’s story on what he tried and what worked. He also talks about his failures and set backs too, which is great because I can identify with some of the things he’s gone through. But it’s a great encouraging story about working hard and getting your shit together.
I loved the written and audio versions. The do's and don'ts of fitness and nutrition are so varied on the internet and even from trainer to trainer. I love the simple no bullshit method that Derek lives day in and day out. THANKS!
Listened to the Audio of Foodlosphy and enjoyed the reading quite a bit. Humor, humility, but also honesty about how our relationship with food will impact the success of our aspirations and that it isn’t a one-size-fits all diet approach like some like to shout. Derek provided a much needed change of perspective on my eating habits. I have recommended this book to several friends and family members who struggle significantly with their relationship with food.
I love this a lot, like he says it’s not a diet, but, it is very informative and straight to the point!
